The day commenced with the chanting of Suprabhatam and the Nagara Sankeertana. Later, all the women devotees assembled in one place to seek the blessings of Mother Vara Mahalakshmi for their Mangalyam — the inner significance being the prayer to the Supreme Paramatma, while feeling ourselves as Prakruti. We distributed Kalasham, turmeric, kumkum, Akshitaas, betel leaf + nut, half a dozen bangles, blouse piece, Lakshmi coin, udharani, bananas, Ganapati idol, Swami’s picture and distributed Pattu Sarees to all the women.
We were honored by the presence of Hon. District Collector Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, IAS, who graced the event as the Chief Guest. He performed the ceremonial puja to mark the commencement of road formation works and also planted seed balls to promote greenery during this rainy season. In addition, he distributed sewing machines to needy women, thereby supporting their empowerment. He remained on the dais and witnessed the entire program until its conclusion. The Guest of Honour, Smt. Usha Raju, a successful entrepreneur in the field of organic culture, inspired all the women with her message on avoiding plastic and joining in the Divyaamritam’s noble services.
Other esteemed dignitaries, including the Smt. Keerti (RDO-Vzm), Smt. Ramadevi (wife of Shri Gompa Krishna), Shri Murru Muthyalanaidu (Former Vice-Chancellor of ANK University), and Shri B. Babji (State President, Loksatta Party), also participated and shared their insights on the significance of Vara Mahalakshmi Vratam.

With Love & Gratitude,
Sri Sathya Sai Divyaamritam
