Today marks the 365th day of the night hunger alleviation programme of Divya Prasada Seva. Called as competition-less seva, this programme aims to provide relief to the needy, who are unable to get access to food in the night. While the day time sees selfless samaritans provide support to the needy, it is the dinner meal gap that this seva aims to bridge.
Daily, over 120 Madhukaris (beneficiaries) are provided with a dinner meal that changes everyday with a unique 7-day menu. The seva has seen a large amount of transformation in the Madhukaris, many of who try to pay it forward by serving in their capacity. Some are now able to seek a livelihood now that they are assured of a meal at night.
We thank the annapoornis (cooking volunteers) and the distribution team of volunteers for their consistent and selfless efforts to ensure that the needy go to sleep with the bliss of a filled stomach.
Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare expresses its deep gratitude to all patrons for the unswerving support towards the seva. We pray to Bhagawan Baba to bless everyone involved in the seva.
