Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare under the umbrella of Sai Aarogya (Free Rural Medical Services) has taken up the task of performing 100 medical camps in 100 weeks. It conducted its 9th medical camp in Madhanapuram and surrounding villages in Gantyada mandal in Vizianagaram district. The medical camps are enabled by state-of-the-art medical van with advanced screening facilities, supported by our esteemed CSR partner GIC Housing Finance Ltd.

 

In this camp, 565 people benefited with medical screenings and other procedures, of whom, 157 consulted the general physician. While 43 women used the services of the gynecologist, 28 patients consulted the dentist. 40 used Advanced consultations like oncology. 141 were screened for ophthalmology, where 27 will be provided with Spectacles and 9 were referred for cataract surgery. This apart, there were 5 dental extractions, 17 fillings and 14 dental scalings conducted. About 146 used the services of the orthopaedic. There were 10 consultations attended to by the ENT specialist.

 

Medicines prescribed were provided free of cost to the beneficiaries.
