Chathustayam :

Chathustayam

Swami has lovingly taught and emphasised us to use Chatustayam as a spiritual Sadhana. The four-fold Sadhana prescribed are

Chanting

Swami has advised us to chant Sai Gayathri Manthra  (or regular Gayathri Manthra) as regularly as possible. Swami has advised us to chant Sai Gayathri Manthra atleast 108 times a day, and to increase gradually to 8 such cycles everyday.

As per Bhagawan, chanting the Gayathri with every breath rejuvenates the body with its Power.

Hearing

Swami has encouraged us to daily listen to Swami’s Discourses and to hear to Bhajans. Swami’s Discourses can be found here

READING

Swami has advised us to read Swami’s Literature for at least 30 minutes a day.

There are thousands of books on Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba including works written by Him during His Physical Sojourn. There are 100s of authors worldwide who have contributed to the Sai Literature in topics around Devotees Experiences, Spiritual Knowledge, Sadhana, etc.

PREACHING

Swami has explained that in addition to service to mankind, one must also walk the Path of Love - Sanathana Dharma. Swami has thus advised us to encourage others to walk the Path of Sanathana Dharma which is not restricted to any religion or demography. Sanathana Dharma refers to eternal way of life, all great spiritual Masters from Lord Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus Christ, etc., until Sai Baba are all Teachers of the Sanathana Dharma.

Self Transformation

When Swami’s advice of the four-fold Sadhana of Chatustayam is sincerely followed, Self Transformation is not far!
