Blood Donation Drive - Exclusively for Cancer and Kidney Patients

March 19, 2024

As we all know blood is a non-substitutable requirement for saving lives. It has been estimated that on an average, only 75% of blood demand is met. Doctors advise that blood can be donated by donors every 3 months. And more specifically, Cancer and Kidney Patients are known to have frequent requirements of blood.

Thus, Sri Sathya Sai Trust For Universal Welfare organized a blood donation camp exclusively for Cancer and Kidney Patients. The blood donation drive took place at Sri Venkateswara Swami temple in Bhartapuram Village, S.Kota mandal, Vizianagaram district on 16th March 2024. Hon MLC Sri Raghuraju garu inaugurated the programme with lamp lighting.

41 units of blood were collected and sent to maharajah's institute of medical sciences (mims) in Vizianagaram, exclusively to be used for Cancer and Kidney patients.

We thank the selfless souls whi came forward to donate blood and thereby have helped to save lives!
